Registered as "Becky", born October 21, 1892 at 452 Commercial Road East. Registered by Abraham Cherlin. Also in 1901 English Census as Rebecca.

Her husband Chester Collett Ward came from Tasmania served in the Australian Light Horse Regiment in Egypt and in France during WWI. They met in London, when he was on leave, and were married January 18, 1919 at the Holborn Registry Office, London. Witnesses Ben Cherlin and Mark Clark, the taxi driver.

They returned to Australia in 1919 on the "brideship" Prince Ludwig. Beryl's grandmother, who had been raising the family since the death of the parents, saw them off. Chester promised to pay the fares for those remaining, the grandmother, Ben and Esther, and Jack to come to Australia. However the grandmother died after fracturing her hip. Chester was able to bring Ben, Esther, and Jack over.

They moved to Tasmania, Wynyard, to live with Chester's parents. Then they moved to Sydney, 5 Colvin Ave Kingsgrove.

Yvonne married Bob Wilson.
