Completed Commercial College, 1st pedagogic association, 1918

Entered university at 18, with military service postponed for three years (deferment approved June 1918). In July 1918 he applied for the status of external student at the natural sciences division of physics and mathematics, St. Vladimir University, Kiev. This was followed by examinations in Russian, Latin, history, and mathematics. Entrance approved in October 1918 (the document concerning examinations is in Ukrainian). One year later he applied to transfer to chemistry, and judging by the stamps this was approved.

In 1920 St. Vladimir University was reorganized and the natural science faculty became the Dragomanov Institute. It is not known whether Solomon entered that institute.

Address, Kiev, 1918: Suvorovskaya 2.

Little is known of his life after 1920 and no documentation has been found. According to Raisa Zdanevich, he had a son who lived in Leningrad. Whether he himself lived in Leningrad is unknown. There are listings for a certain S. M. Tsyrlin in Leningrad directories in 1937 (Fontanka 68, A-6-82-67) and in 1969 (Shkol'naya 6, no phone number).
