Born Oct. 27, 1946 in Moscow to a military family.
Moscow Physics-Technology Institute 1965-1970, radiotekhnika. Championship basketball in college.
1971 began working at a research institute for computer science with an interest in economic applications (1975-1993).
Began journalistic publications in 1968 oriented toward sports. and notable basketball players. Also worked as press attache for the Miss USSR contest and others, and organized a number of events.
Member of the Presidium of the Federation of Sports Journalists from 1997. Strong literary and artistic interests. In music, likes the Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Bravo. Known as a wit.
