Biographical information:

Born ca. 1890. The gravestone gives 1889 and the marriage certificate gives 1891 or 1892. The latter, at least, probably reflects the false papers he was using.

"Old Bolshevik", that is, a member of Lenin's faction before 1917. Remained a dedicated communist. Adopted the name Zolotarevskii while using false documents for clandestine work. His sister Anna Moiseevna (July 20, 1899-May 2, 1964) kept the name Narozetsky (Narozetskaya).

Married Sofya January 2, 1924 in Kiev (address Vorovskogo 25).

According to Leonid (2014), Semen took up an important post in the transport ministry prior to Stalin's terror, had difficulties in 1937-38 but was not arrested at a time when many Old Bolsheviks were. Restored to party membership the following year and before WW II was the head of the bauxite mining trust.

During the invasion he was sent to Sverdlovsk (Ekaterinburg); this regionh was the only source of bauxite in non-occupied territory.

Died May 5, 1953.
