Biographical information:

Born Ekaterinoslav, 1885. Moved to Kiev, evacuated during WWII. The city was greatly destroyed by a Soviet scorched-earth tactic. On their return to Kiev in 1947, Menachem and Bertha found that their apartment had been taken over by the local head of the KGB. They purchased a house in Yevpatoria (Crimea) and moved there in 1948. Irene Kelner has fond memories of summers spent there.

Born in Ekaterinoslav. Moved to Kiev in 1915. Menachem died in 1969 in Moscow.
